5 tips for a distinctive business card
A business card provides you with a first impression of your business. It is therefore not just a piece of paper with your business details, but it must present the values of your company. What needs to be on it? How should it look? What paper should you use? By following our 5 tips your business card will not disappear in the masses!
Tailored to your business
A business card must be an extension of your company. Modern, simple or rather creative? Match the look of the business card entirely with your company and corresponding graphic identity. That is why someone with a day care centre, rather than a notary, will opt for a playful design.
Less is more
A business card must immediately make it clear who you are, what function you hold and how to reach you. It is best to leave out any superfluous information. In this way, the receiver of the card will immediately have a clear overview and not have to search for anything.
Link to social media
We can be found increasingly on-line. The days when only a telephone number, website and email address were mentioned on business cards are long gone. Are you active on social media? Make sure not to forget to mention the links of the pages on your card! Please note that this should only be done if there is enough space on the card. Less is more, remember?
2 sides, 2 times more powerful
Often the back of a business card is simply left blank. What a pity, because a business card that is printed on both sides is twice as powerful! What information do you put here? A brief explanation of what you do (at most 1 sentence), an appropriate quote, an offer or simply a bigger version of your logo? You decide!
Go for originality
There is nothing wrong with a standard business card, but why not jump out of the box? Think of another shape, a special folding method, a spot paint, a special paper type or even a different material such as printed wood? We would bet that your business card will not be discarded!
